Sir Muhammad
Iqbal in 1930 conceived a plan of a Muslim State. Later on a group of youngmen
led by Rahmat Ali propagated this plan. Their plan was different from that of
Iqbal. Sir Iqbal wanted the merger of the provinces where muslims were in
majority into a single State within Indian Federation. However Rahmat Ali
proposed that these provinces should have a separate federation of their own.
He called it as Pakistan.
